One World Episode 11: Wake Up Call

So the two guys left in the game return to the Oestrogen-heavy camp, and Tarzan admits he's just gonna try and suck up to the women and not risk being associated with Troyzan. Not really a long-term strategy. Kim is nervous because her name came up and she wasn't expecting to be a target this early.

It's a coconut chop! Finally, will this be the wake-up call the people at the bottom of the pecking order need? Alicia likes the look of her doll. Christina is deemed the person who does not deserve to be here. Kim is named the most trustworthy. Troyzan is cut down by the girls, predictably, as Alicia mocks his "this is my Island". Kat gets another negative question. Chelsea gets dropped out next. Troyzan is named biggest poser, Sabrina the most useless. I like how negative the questions are. Kim wins the challenge. She takes Alicia and Chelsea. Troyzan starts planting seeds in the unpicked players that maybe they're on the bottom.

Kim, Chelsea and Alicia - flying high
The girls enjoy the helicopter ride, but Kim is worried about the reward challenge revealing too much. Back at camp, Troyzan is antagonising Kat and building up Kim as a big threat. Kat cries, because she thinks she's being perceived as a follower. Sabrina is concerned by how quickly Christina was swayed. Kim comes back and tries to run damage control with a furious Kat. She realises she may have made her first strategic blunder of the game.

The tribe are huddled under the shelter and a giant pig walks into camp. They're all really happy to see it, and chase it round for a bit. They don't catch it, but it's still a cute scene.
The pig provides some light relief

Oiled up: Chelsea going for a bullseye
Today's immunity challenge involves sliding down a mat and tossing rings onto pole. Alicia takes on Chelsea. Chelsea gets it. Sabrina takes on Kat, and Kat wins. Tarzan beats Troyzan and everyone celebrates like crazy. Kim beats Christina. In round 2, Chelsea beats Kat and Kim beats Tarzan, setting up a battle between the two main girls. It proves to be a great battle and Kim comes from behind to beat Chelsea and win immunity.

Kim wants to split the vote in case Troyzan has an idol. They decide to throw two votes on Christina. Sabrina for some dumb reason decides to tell Christina she's getting votes, and for some even dumber reason she seems fine with that. I don't think she truly understood the repercussions of what she was just told. They said that if Troyzan plays an idol we're gonna send you home. Alicia's comparison to her special ed students might be in bad taste, but that was definitely not a smart move.

Troyzan keeps hope alive
Troyzan thinks his best chance of survival is to figure out who they're splitting the vote on and throw his vote on them. He strikes it lucky when Christina tells him it's her. He gets Tarzan on board too, but will it be enough?

At tribal council, Christina gets a tough time as Alicia one again reminds her that according to the survey most people don't think she deserves to be here. Troyzan makes a joke about selling "Ocean front property in Kansas" to the people who believe they're part of something they're not, which Jeff misses the point of completely.

Not his Island any more
"Please go home" whispers Kim as she casts her vote for Troyzan. But has she done enough to finally get him out? The votes come in, and it's 3 for Christina, 1 for Chelsea...courtesy of Christina - did she just vote herself out of the game? Well no, because 4 votes for Troyzan proves to be enough, and the superfan gets his torch snuffed at last. He gives his blessing to Kat and then walks out like a rock star. I'll certainly miss him and all the drama he's stirred, but hopefully now we're entering a brand new chapter of the game.

STAR OF THE WEEK: SABRINA THOMPSON
Sabrina was a fun presence this episode. From her delight at seeing the pig to her delight at Troyzan losing, she seems pretty happy with the game in general right now. Her double agent plot to out Christina's intentions was the smartest play of the week.

One World Episode 10: Troyzan Vs The World

So lonely
The tribe have just got back from giving Jay the boot, and Troyzan's a little mad that Christina didn't vote with him. He reminds her she's on the block soon and Alicia accuses him of being aggressive, which is irony at its finest. Troyzan plays the "deserving" card, which does not fly with Chelsea, telling him to man up like Jonas did.

Oh, they have bacon in BLTs now?
It's the Survivor auction. Troyzan's got his eye on the challenge advantage. Sabrina buys cocktails, Leif buys a protein shake. Kim buys a shower for $40. I was hoping one of the girls would get it, wink wink. Kat fails at math and then is surprised to find bacon in her BLT sandwich. Kim buys peanut butter from the shower...naked women and peanut butter, together in Survivor again! Tarzan is keeping his name to repair the shocks on his jeep. But when letters from home come up, Alicia bids the full $500 to get a letter from her dad, and Tarzan gets caught up in the emotions and buys his too. Aww.

The challenge advantage comes up. Christina is the only one that can outbid Troyzan, so they all encourage her to beat him. She folds though, and Troyzan takes it, rather aggressively. Back at camp, Troyzan starts looking for an idol...he doesn't even know if there is one, but figures it can't hurt. He even puts a rock in his pocket like Rupert in an attempt to fake them out.

"Don't fuck with me!"
On to the challenge. It has three different legs, and Troyzan's advantage allows him to sit out the first one, which is untying ropes. I guess Tarzan finally finds something he's good at, because he moves on to the next round along with Kim and Christina. Round 2 involves bouncing coconuts to break drums, like they did in episode 5. Tarzan is the first to get one, then Troyzan goes into the lead with two. Kim and Tarzan catch up, but Troyzan gets it. Joining him in the final round will be Tarzan. The final leg tests their slingshot prowess, where they have to knock out boards again. It's a fairly close race with several near misses, but Troyzan wins, and his overenthusiastic yelling really turns off Sabrina.

Tarzan bathes his infant son
When they get back to camp, Tarzan tells Troyzan to be more "noble". Troyzan just tries to explain that it's his competitive nature coming out. Troyzan's win means that Leif is on the block, and he knows it. But while Leif continues to be useless as usual, Troyzan is actually working it, trying to gain numbers on his side by going to the people obviously on the bottom of the pecking order: Tarzan, Christina and Alicia. Will they bite?

Let's gain the numbers

Jeff usually likes to try and stir the pot at tribal council but this time it takes very little effort to get the fireworks going. Sabrina blasts Troyzan for his behaviour, calling him unlikeable, and Troyzan yells back at her, before both of them claim they aren't mad. Troyzan tries to throw the pecking order out in the open, but Kim, Chelsea, Kat and Sabrina all deny they're on the top. Alicia tells Jeff she's considered going along with Troyzan's plan, but doesn't know if she can trust Christina, who she hates.

When the votes come in, only two of them are for Kim like Troyzan wanted. The rest are for Tarzan and Leif, with the little guy being the one sent packing. Kind of a weak exit, but what do you expect from a player that's really done nothing? The rest of the tribe go back to camp, and Troyzan has to start his scrambling all over again.

STAR OF THE WEEK: TROYZAN ROBERTSON
I can see why people think he's a jerk, I just don't agree with it. I admire his passion and how he's fighting his heart out to stay in the game with unrelenting focus, doing everything that he can. Right now he's got the whole tribe running scared.

One World Episode 9: I Know Why The Jaybird Sucks

Survivor life ain't so bad
We're treated to great opening shot of a Samoan sunrise and another in the directory of great Survivor dreams - Jay dreamt he got shot. Foreshadowing? Anyway, Tarzan talks to Troyzan where he basically reiterates what he warned him about (the girls knocking out the guys), and Troyzan says he plans to use his idol to knock out a bigshot like Kim. Let's hope so!

Tree mail brings another do it yourself challenge. The draw leaves Troyzan, Jay, Tarzan, Kat and Alicia on one team, and the other girls plus Leif on the other. They have to try and toss a bola to score points on a rung ladder. Troyzan takes the Jeff role. Kat gets the red team on the board. Tarzan of all people scores the highest. Christina gets 1 point, leaving Sabrina needing to score 5 with the last shot to win the game. She misses and the red team win a boat ride. It was funny how the least likely people ended up scoring. The rum and coconut reward is enjoyed by all, especially Troyzan. Jay opens up to Kat about his concerns in the game.

Chelsea likes Jay, but she likes money more
Kim wants to continue getting rid of the guys. Ruthless, but smart, as they're too good in challenges and too big of a threat in front of a jury. This upsets Chelsea as she has really grown to like Jay, but she knows it's her best game move. Jay wants Alicia out next, and when he tells the girls this they are all really awkward about giving an answer. Troyzan is really nervous about being blindsided, so he feels like he needs to win this next immunity.

You've got red on you
Jeff introduces the next one as a Survivor classic, and he's not wrong. It's the arm hang endurance challenge, with food temptations. Tarzan drops out pretty much before Jeff even has a chance to say "this challenge is on". Christina is out soon after. Sabrina, Kim and Kat all drop out for food. Alicia also drops out for food, and her behaviour is not that of someone who is on the block. Troyzan then falls off. Jay stupidly steps down for chicken wings, leaving Leif and Chelsea in contention. Chelsea tries to negotiate with Leif, saying he'll be less of a threat if he steps down. So he does. Chelsea wins immunity!

Kim thinks the challenge went well because Chelsea now looks like a bigger threat than her, and neither of her targets won immunity. She plans of splitting her votes between Troyzan and Jay in case an idol appears. Wait, what? How did she know about that? They want Leif in on it, too.

Troyzan doesn't like how Kim keeps saying "you're safe, you're safe". He thinks she's overcompensating, so he digs up his idol and puts it in his pocket. He fills Jay in and wants to get Tarzan and Christina to vote for Kim, but Jay doesn't feel he's in any danger and still thinks Alicia is going home.
I have a bad feeling about this

As if that wasn't stupid enough, Jay then blabs about Troyzan's idol to Kim and tells her that there may be votes coming her way. Kim stays calm, but says she doesn't have time to get to everyone before tribal.

At tribal council, only Kim, Jay and Troyzan raise their hand when Jeff asks who feels vulnerable. Kat and Christina point out the bulge in Troyzan's shorts - his idol, they mean. Troyzan says the reactions of some of the people at the challenge made him suspicious....some people who he thought should have been rooting for him were not.

"I told you not to step down"
It's time to vote and Troyzan votes Kim. Kat votes Troyzan. Jay votes Alicia. Wow, this vote is all over the place. Troyzan plays his idol, not wanting to join the list of people who went home with it in their pocket. The two votes against him are cancelled, but unfortunately it was for nothing and a guy still goes home - five votes for Jay is enough to send him to the jury. Next week, all Hell is gonna break loose as it's Troyzan vs the world!

STAR OF THE WEEK: TROYZAN ROBERTSON
Thank you for being the only person smart enough to recognize what a threat Kim is. I don't blame him for playing his idol, although he would've been better off keeping it, and probably shouldn't have wasted his vote. I can't criticize him too much when he got so much right though - if Troyzan doesn't win, it's Jay's fault.

One World Episode 8: Honey Trap

Troyzan is sad to see Jonas go, and laments the luck of the draw, knowing he would've been in had he landed on Salani after the switch. Now Jay is keen for a girl to go next to even it up. Too late for that, buddy.

Super fun happy slide!
Tree mail promises them a 7-up. When they get to the challenge, he lets everyone have a taste. These product placement challenges just get more and more ridiculous. Anyway, the contestants are split up into two teams (Jay, Troyzan, Kat, Alicia and Chelsea vs Mike, Kim, Sabrina, Christina and Leif; Tarzan not picked) and have to slide down a giant water slide and then grab crates. Troyzan and Mike kick off, and the teams are neck and neck with two crates left. Christina for some reason separates herself from the group and doesn't help with carrying the last crate. The puzzle challenge is close, but Christina's team wins out. Leif's overenthusiastic celebrations cause Chelsea to say "Shut the fuck up!"
Christina the puzzle Goddess?

The 7-up paradise proves to be a great reward. Sabrina leads a prayer before the five of them tuck in to their meal. Getting a moment to separate themselves from the guys, Kim, Sabrina and Christina vow to make it an all-woman final 3, claiming Mike doesn't deserve to win. They plan to maintain the illusion that Salani is still together when really they are just gonna "annihilate" all the guys. Sabrina concocts a lie to tell Troyzan to turn him against Mike. How Devilish!

Maybe she just hates you because you're crazy
Tarzan crazy moment of the week: Tarzan takes the shelter apart to make firewood during a storm when they already have loads, and then denies this is what he's doing. Jay says it best: he's book-smart but has no people skills. Tarzan confronts Chelsea with a possible reason that he dislikes her: because he's a plastic surgeon, and she might have had a bad experience with a plastic surgeon. Did he really just bring up her boob job? Chelsea's response is pretty restrained, considering.

Hook, line, sinker
Kim tries to turn Troyzan against Mike, saying Mike is already spreading it that Troyzan is gonna win and they can't let him get that far. Troyzan is pissed and falls for it. Really? He doesn't even consider for a second that Kim might be playing him? I almost want to take back everything I said last week about Troyzan being a contender.

There's nothing like a good old puzzle on a windy day. The first part of the challenge is to pull your bag across a bridge. First four get to do the puzzle. Kim and Jay are the first to make it. Troyzan almost blows a huge lead, but gets in third. Who will the fourth be? It's Alicia. The puzzle is extremely difficult. "Too hard for me" says Kat. Kim ends up one piece away, but it doesn't fit. That's the thing about this challenge...you don't know you're wrong until the end. Jay comes out of nowhere to snatch the win, despite being behind for most of it.

Jay does the math
Jay wants a girl out next. But when Chelsea suggests Mike (a member of their alliance) right in front of Alicia and Christina (two people not in their alliance), Jay starts to see something not adding up. He confronts Chelsea about this, claiming the girls make him nervous. Kim has to avert disaster by walking up to Jay just as he's about to talk to Mike and say "let's do Christina".

At tribal council, nobody admits to feeling vulnerable. Jeff finds this amusing, because obviously somebody is going to be proved wrong in a few minutes. Then Tarzan says Jeff is being played, giving rise to the phrase "am I being Tarzaned?". The votes come in and reveal that the real person being played is Mike, whose departure is a huge shock to him. For some reason Christina and Alicia voted Tarzan and Tarzan and Mike voted Christina. What will be the fallout of this? Who knows, but I sense things are about to get dirty.

STAR OF THE WEEK: KIM SPRADLIN
Kim has got this game in the palm of her hand, as witnessed by how she managed to get Troyzan to vote out Mike with barely a second thought, and still managed to clean up after Chelsea's mistake. These girls are very impressive, but I hope we don't have an all-female final 6.

One World Episode 7: Troy's Island

The castaways are very excited to find food when they get back to camp. Wine bottles are passed around, but Jonas doesn't drink so gives his away.

When it comes to naming the tribe, Troyzan picks Tikiano and nobody objects. It's certainly one of the better names in recent seasons. Jonas gives a cooking lesson to the camera about how to cook coconut. He should have his own Saturday morning show!

The most and least sincere people in the game
Jay actually doesn't like the merge - his first reaction was disappointment at having to live with the likes of Tarzan again. He wants Salani to take out Manono. Tarzan is disappointed because he was expecting to find the guys solid and quickly realized this was not the case. He tries to appeal to Mike for the six guys plus Alicia to take control of the game, but Mike has a better deal so just bullshits him.

They come in for the reward challenge to find they are being redivided into tribes for the purpose of the challenge. Alica, Jay, Sabrina, Chelsea, Troyzan and Christina are one team, and Leif, Kat, Mike, Kim, Jonas and Tarzan are another. The task is crawl under an assault course, dig up a bag of puzzle pieces and come back. Jay takes on Leif at the start, and Leif falls behind when he gets stuck. Rather comically, I might add. When Leif does make it back, Kim goes out and also gets stuck. Kat makes up a lot of time against Sabrina, who gets tired out whilst digging. It comes down to the puzzle:
Still think Kat is weak at challenges?
Troyzan and Christina vs Tarzan and Jonas. Tarzan isn't much help and spends more time talking back to Jeff, which frustrates Jonas. Troyzan and Christina win the challenge, and the other team are devastated. All of them go and eat pizza together in private and also get a note telling them there's a new idol in play. They agree not to tell anyone.

Jonas is furious when he finds out Tarzan told Mike, the least reliable guy, the plan. The two of them get into a major argument which ends with Tarzan saying he's cutting his ties with Jonas. What a volatile personality. The next morning, Troyzan wakes up early to go looking for the idol....and he finds it.

The challenge is balancing balls on a plate. It wasn't a surprise to see Tarzan and Christina be the first two out, but the next one ended up being Mike. Chelsea and Kim drop their balls next. This challenge is not going how I expected. Alicia, Jay and Leif drop out next leaving just Kat and Troyzan. The dumbest girl (Natalie Tenerelli) won this challenge in Redemption Island. Will be see a repeat? No. Troyzan, helped by his special grip shoes no doubt, wins immunity. It's a great moment for him as he's been waiting for it for a long time.

Kim and Chelsea want Jonas out because he's the strongest on Manono. Of course, the real reason is that they want to give the women the numbers in order to keep their options open. Troyzan isn't really keen on that plan because he likes Jonas and values his chef skills.
Kim's not ready to rock the boat

Jay wants to stay consistent
Jonas goes into mad scramble mode once Troyzan tells him his name is coming up, and tries to mend his relationship with Tarzan. His apology moves Tarzan to tears. Why is everything so dramatic with that guy? Tarzan then begins annoying the hell out of everybody at camp. He wants to wash his underwear with Chelsea, which she objects to, partially because of the brown stain in them that he claims is dirt. When Chelsea proposes that Tarzan go instead, Jay warns her that changing your mind can dangerous.

Now who's gonna chop your coconut?
At tribal council, we see a much feistier Jonas than usual who throws Mike under the bus, claiming they should vote him off as a physical threat. Tarzan doesn't like this attitude and goes back to hating Jonas. Jonas then outs Tarzan's shitty plan to vote off Kat, and the two spar some more. It culminates with Tarzan and almost everybody else writing down Jonas' name, which he can't quite believe. On his way out, he tries to bury the hatchet with Tarzan who rebuffs his advances (looks like we got a bitter juror in the making) and wishes them luck on the food situation.

So, a real winner contender bites the dust early. This merge has already livened things up. Now no-one is safe. Did the guys screw up by giving up the numbers to the girls? And will people be able to stand Tarzan for 3 more days?

STAR OF THE WEEK: TROYZAN ROBERTSON
Troyzan or Kim will win this game, bank on it. Dominant alliance, immunity idol, immunity necklace...this was his episode, and this is his Island.

One World Episode 6: Long Live The Queen

Alicia and Colton taunt Christina, after she was blindsided at the "hilarious" tribal council. Colton calls her the "cockroach" and really rubs it in her face that she's going home next. On Salani, Kat has a dream that she was in a mall and Alicia killed her. Haha, wow. The gang get ready for a challenge that involves "something they played as a kid", according to tree mail. When the tribes arrive at the challenge, Sabrina sees Monica gone and figures the guys are booting the girls. Not entirely true, I'd say Alicia has defected at this point.

The challenge is to bounce a ball on a net and take out drums. I don't remember playing this as a kid. It takes ages for the players to get the hang of it, but it is Kim who scores first. Tarzan equals it and then Leif gives Manono the lead. Troyzan has figured out you have to throw it hard. Christina gets yelled at by Colton (again?) because she's not running back fast enough. Give her a break, maybe she just wants her boobs to bounce in slow motion. Meanwhile, Alicia seems to be getting a lot of shit from Probst for failing it pretty hard. In the end, Troyzan wins the challenge for Salani. That means an ice cream reward!
Kim screams for ice cream

Stop filling their heads with truths
After watching Colton tell Christina to jump in a fire, Jonas says how he doesn't like Colton's attitude. During an opportune time and with nothing to lose, Christina tells Leif and Jonas about Alicia's connections on the other side. Alicia comes up behind her and yells at her. Man, this episode sure is getting repetitive. The sad thing is Christina is telling the truth but has no way to prove it.

Colton has a really bad headache. Surprisingly Christina is the one to comfort him, showing everyone she is a good person. Tarzan diagnoses it as appendicitis. That seems a little...extreme. But Colton's condition gets worse as Christina finds him lying on the floor. Jeff Probst and Dr Ramona have to be called in. Ramona diagnoses it as appendicitis. Wow, I guess Tarzan was right.

Another victim claimed
So Colton ends up having to be removed from the game and the rest of camp gather round to say goodbye. I wanted Colton out of the game as much as anyone, but this was a pretty unsatisfying end to his storyline. It almost validates his gameplay now. Jonas is crying at seeing Colton go, because he knew how big a fan he was. Colton decides to keep the idol and take it out of the game, which pisses off Alicia who saw it as "another selfish move".

Hey, don't talk down to him!
The mood in camp has changed. Alica's stock has fallen and Christina has gained another reprieve. Tarzan still has it out for "Katrina", telling her to her face she wouldn't be his friend, but him and Alicia are the only ones - Jonas is the boss now, and he wants Alicia gone. Tarzan tries to convince Leif that Christina is untrustworthy and should go, but his logic is a mystery to everyone but him.

Salani are surprised to find out they have been summoned to tribal council without a challenge, and when they see Manono walk in, Troyzan immediately notices Colton isn't there. Jeff explains Colton had appendicitis. The adorably dim Kat is shocked and says "Oh my God....what's that?" Leif can relate because he's had his removed and knows it's painful. Kat reacts as if she's worried she is next. It seems Alicia can't catch a break at all, because when she tells Sabrina that Colton kept the idol, nobody on Salani is willing to believe her.

Black...how original
Jeff then gives them some better news - they have merged! Everyone grabs their black buffs and Kim comments about how the game is back on. The twelve people left all head back to camp - the good camp, that is. It's One World again! And the possibilities for what happens next are endless. Game on.

STAR OF THE WEEK: CHRISTINA CHA
So much respect for this lady. She took a torrent of abuse on the chin and remained calm and reasonable throughout. She even helped her nemesis in his hour of need. I don't know if the merge will save her, but we'll see.

One World Episode 5: The Game Is Afoot

The girls ask Troyzan whose idea it was to give up immunity, and he says Colton. Not knowing what the guys are thinking, the girls are keen to stick together and go to the merge 7-strong. The two tribes are now equal and whoever wins next will take the lead.

Then Jeff drops a bombshell that nobody wanted to hear - they're switching up the tribes. It's going to be done at random, so everybody takes an egg and breaks it. Alicia, Christina and Monica all get an orange egg and switch over to Manono. Troyzan, Jay and Mike all get blue and switch over to Salani. Kim is very happy with her new tribe. Alicia and Colton are not.
Christina and Colton want coffee

The new tribes get stuck in to a challenge right away. The stakes are high because whoever loses has to leave the One World beach and start a new camp. The teams have to carry a bucket of water, fill it up and bring it back, plugging all the holes. First to fill up their bucket wins. Manono bring their bucket back first, but Monica slips over twice and loses a lot of water. After two trips each, Salani are in the lead. It's a race to see who can get back first - it's Manono, but they don't quite have enough. Salani do and win reward. Jeff goes to Colton, because he knows he'll have some blunt truths, and he calls it Greek Gods vs Peasants. Sabrina couldn't be happier with her tribe pick. She was just hoping to end up on the same tribe as Kim, getting two others from her alliance as well was just a bonus.

So the exiled Manono tribe go to a new beach where they are forced to start afresh. Christina is optimistic, but Colton thinks his new teammates suck, and is jealous of Salani and their peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Tarzan falls over a bamboo pole while they're building the shelter, once again demonstrating what a bunch of buffoons they are. Alicia and Colton agree to work together. How sweet, the two most obnoxious people in the game are aligned. Colton tells Christina he's with the girls, but only because it's what she wants to hear. Monica isn't sure that he's legit.

The Dream Team rule the roost
Chelsea and Mike are catching crabs. Mike wants to put peanut butter and jelly on them. Sabrina, Jay and Troyzan help them corner a rooster, which Troyzan catches. Good times! Lying on the beach together, Jay talks strategy with Kim and Troyzan. He's open to working with the girls, and wants to cut Mike out of the alliance. Kim vouches for Chelsea to be their fourth. She's sitting pretty right now - part of the two main alliances in the game, and has the option to go either way.

Alicia is trying to talk Colton out of voting out Christina first. She wants to keep the girls around, for obvious reasons. Jonas has noticed the amount of time Colton has spent talking to Alicia and asks him about it. "How does he get away with this?" Jonas says. Because you let him, dude. Jonas concludes that Colton is probably forming alliances with the girls and playing both sides.

Kim and Chelsea hold all the power now
Kim goes looking for the idol, knowing there must be another one out there. She finds it in a tree and stuffs it in her pants. Chelsea is the only one she tells, because she doesn't know who she's going to use it on yet. I'm sure when she does use it, it'll be a game changer. No question she's the most powerful person in the game right now.

Monica catches a chicken in a box, but it gets out because they didn't check the side. Colton talks to Alicia and tells her that he wants Monica out first, as she will be more dangerous in a merge because she has more friends, whereas no-one likes Christina. This is assuming they lose the next challenge...which Colton is.

A *little* height difference? Really, Probst?
The challenge is water basketball. Colton is facing Jay, Jonas is facing Troyzan, and Mike and Tarzan are by the baskets. This challenge will be a blowout. Mike tosses it in the basket with ease for a 1-0 lead. Next up, Leif is guarding the goal. Why? And being next to Mike just shows what a mismatch this is. Despite his height, Leif puts in a good showing and nearly scores. Mike gets the point again though, and makes it 2-0.

In the all-women matchup, Monica manages to pull a point back for the underdogs and make it 2-1. For the final round, Colton hangs onto the ball for dear life, but eventually they get it loose and Jay, Troyzan and Mike all take shots, with Mike scoring his third to give Salani victory.

So, Alicia and Colton are ready to blindside Monica. However, Alicia tells Christina she thinks Tarzan should go for being the weakest player. Christina spreads that around and Jonas and Leif pretend to agree. Monica thinks she struck lucky and the men have lost sight of the numbers game. Oh, you poor naive girl. Colton then tells Tarzan and Leif to vote out Monica. "Tell me who Monica is again?" he asks. Colton reveals his frustration at having to constantly babysit Tarzan and repeat instructions over and over again.

Jeff is amused by Tarzan
At tribal council, Monica demonstrates her positive upbeat attitude that I love so much, whilst Colton calls the tribe a sinking ship. Tarzan talks weirdly, confusing Jeff and others. He even teaches Jeff a new word - neologism. They have a great exchange, where Tarzan also reveals he has aphasia and struggles with people's names. That's about all he reveals though -  he's holding back because "the game is afoot, Jeff".

And now the vote is afoot, and the biggest tension is now whether Tarzan will remember to write down the right name. Monica's frowny face vote for Tarzan is accompanied by Christina's drawing of a banana. The next four votes are all for Monica though, who turns towards Colton and says "wow" as she collects her torch. Christina is left completely confused too. Bad luck Monica, you got dealt a poor hand. But will the fortunes of the rest improve? Why do I get the feeling it's going to get worse?

STAR OF THE WEEK: GREG "TARZAN" SMITH
This loveable loon is providing great comic relief. His time at tribal council revealed he's a much more layered and complex character than we thought. I've never used the term "smart dumb person" before, but I do believe it applies here. Tarzan is an enigma and I want to know more about him.
