Carl is happy with himself for having used the nullifier correctly. Angelina wants to know why her name came up, and is now done with the Goliaths. Davie and Nick wake up to look for the idol, but all Nick finds is a clue that tells him he'll have to sneak out of camp tomorrrow night.

First reward within reach
The reward challenge is for two groups to race across a rope over the water, then throw rungs onto a ladder. Davie, Carl, Kara, Angelina and Nick are the purple team, whereas Mike, Gabby, Christian, Alec and Alison are orange. The teams are off (and orange clearly have much deeper water...how is this fair?), with Alec getting over first. Alison then struggles as purple take a good lead, with Carl and Davie doing it very quickly. Nick starts shooting and gets one, but Christian is done and the other team catch up. Alec gets all three and gets the win. Carl, who along with Angelina has not won a single reward all season, is taking note of Alec's challenge prowess.

Definitely NOT yoga
At the reward meal, Alec talks about how he needs to flirt with Gabby and Christian (not literally). They also get letters from home. Back at camp, Carl says outright he wants Alec out next, and even tells Kara this. Kara warns Alec and now he knows he has to win immunity. Alec and Alison are very sick after the reward, which works for Nick, as he is trying to get out of camp without being seen. Davie helps him by standing guard, and Nick manages to make it to the idol and claim it.

Bored to death
The immunity challenge is to hold onto a bar in a crucifix position. Jeff offers them the chance to sit out if they feel safe and enjoy some dip. The rewardless Angelina and Carl take that offer along with Nick. Mike is the first one out, and Davie steps off next. The people watching from the sidelines are putting their hopes on Kara, but she steps off next...seems like she could've gone longer. Alison dropping leaves us at three - Christian, Gabby and Alec. Gabby starts crying from the pain, as Alec insists he's going to win. Gabby is out and it's down to two. Christian tries a strategy of boring Alec with science talk...which seems to actually work? Out of nowhere, Alec seems a lot more frazzled, his confidence completely gone, and he steps down. Christian wins immunity, and Jeff announces they have a whole day before tribal...plenty of time for things to change.

The Gabby whisperer
Alec cries now that he's faced with the possibility of going home. Carl is adamant they stick with the Alec vote, but Gabby is annoyed when she finds out Kara has been included in this plan without him telling her. Carl accuses her of being too emotional, and she ends up crying to Christian on the beach about Carl bossing her around. "What is he, the frickin' Godfather?" she says. Alec decides to target Carl and is hoping he can get Christian and Gabby to flip.
At tribal council, Christian's 6-hour shift at the immunity challenge is brought up, which seems to impress Dan. Alec says it shows the character of the people who sat out. Carl defends himself by saying that's easy to say when you have't been going without rewards like he has. Angelina also defends herself by bringing up last tribal. In the end, the tribe decides to get rid of the challenge threat and Alec is voted out unanimously.
Well, the Davids have done it, They've overturned the deficit and for the first time in the game have the numbers. Alison cries at seeing Alec go, but realizes she can't save every patient.

Buzzer beater
The reward challenge is for two teams to swim out, jump off a ladder, pull up buoys from the water and then dunk them in basketball nets. Our teams are Angelina, Nick, Gabby and Alison vs Davie, Carl, Kara and Mike. Kara and Davie get their buoys first, but it takes a while for anyone to score and the other team catch up, with Nick putting them in the lead. Davie then scores one in spectacular style. Nick gets another, so does Davie, and Carl gets 2 as well. Davie scores the last one to win reward. Finally, Carl wins one...but Angelina is still without.

Post-reward high leads to sloppy mistakes
Kara and Mike are kissing ass on this reward, hoping Davie and Carl will want to work with them,. Davie says he's happy to have got his black card back after proving he can dunk. Drunk Carl is back and starts spilling his plans to take Alison out next. Kara doesn't really get why he's so loose-lipped, but is glad he is.
Back at camp, Gabby and Christian plot to take out Carl, since he's the one perceived to be calling the shots with the Davids and is gonna get all the credit at the end. They fill in Alison, seeing her, Kara and Mike as the votes they need. Carl tells the rest of the group he wants to blindside Alison and leave Gabby out of it. When Gabby hears this, this just confirms even more she's making the right move. Angelina notices they are low on rice, and proposes they try to make a deal with Jeff. Mike compares Angelina to Tracy Flick from
Election. Haha, I love it. Only a film buff like Mike could drop a reference like that.

Change your perspective
The immunity challenge is to get three groups of letter blocks - one from on top of a plaform, one from spinning around a post and one from walking a balance beam - and then use them to spell out a word. Angelina makes her proposal of most of their camp rewards for more rice. Jeff's counteroffer is he'll give it if somebody agrees to sit out of the challenge, which Angelina does. The other 8 begin the challenge. Christian gets so dizzy from the spinning he gets lost. Davie gathers the blocks first but soon everyone catches him. Carl is first to get a word but it's the wrong one - "perceptions". Alison and Davie both seem to have figured out the actual answer ("perspective") and it's now a race between them, which Davie wins.
Alison knows this is gonna be a close 5-4 vote, but is hoping everyone she talked to is still on board. Mike is the swing vote and has promised both sides he's with them, and Christian seems a little wary of putting so much trust in him. But Gabby is determined to see this move through, even if it backfires.

Oh great, it's analogy hour
At tribal council, Kara says Alec was a sacrifice to prove they want to work with the Davids, comparing it to closing a real estate deal. Nick compares the game to scrambled eggs, whereas Christian says they're more like poached eggs. Alison says there was an eerie calm at camp that makes her nervous. Carl says he hasn't noticed a difference and that he had a plan in place early. Angelina brings up her rice deal, which she's clearly hoping is gonna score her some points with the jury.
After the vote, Carl is sent home and Alison survives. Damn, Angelina blindsided again. Carl gives props to the people who got him out even though he's clearly shocked about it, and admits he got too comfortable. Well, now nobody can deny that original tribal lines are over. Davids voting for Davids, Goliaths voting for Goliaths...this brand new game is sure to continue.
STAR OF THE WEEK: GABBY PASCUZZI
This was her time to really emerge as a player in the game, as she got the upper hand against Carl and made the first strike against him. And it looks like there are more big moves to come.
