The Davids attempt to get a fire going as Davie laughs off the suggestion to try and find dry wood, but quickly realize there's no point when the rain starts. The Goliaths are struggling too, and can't even start a fire the next morning. Natalia is shaking, Angelina is crying. Survivor is real, guys.
As Christian and Nick collect firewood, both complain they were out of the loop. Trying to make the most of his stay of execution, Nick forms an alliance with Christian called the Mason-Dixon line. Jeff sends both tribes a tarp and firemaking kit to help make things a little easier.

| The Girls have the guys by the balls |
Dan is making his alliance with Kara so obvious that Jeremy has picked up on it, though he thinks Kara is playing him. Kara makes it clear her real loyalty is to the girls, Angelina and Natalia. And they each have another person that they can bring in for a majority...Dan, John and Alec respectively. Jeremy searches in Dan's coat and finds his idol, just like Kara warned him would happen.

| Feeling the power |
Davie is embracing his role as the Davids' provider, and is on the hunt for food. He manages to find an idol instead - which is good, I guess. Carl has backed off Nick now and wants Lyrsa gone, who he thinks is the weakest player. Elizabeth lets Lyrsa know her name has come up, and she takes exception to being called weak, since she won them the shelter-building kit.
The Goliaths are having fun, but Natalie is trying to put a stop to that. Natalie seems to be the consensus for the first vote, which John doesn't like since he sees her as a potential surprise ally. John warns her she's in trouble and her response is to aggressively interrogate people about why she's considered a threat. Jeremy decides to warn her that she's not really seeing how she comes across, but she's not receptive to his advice so now even he is done with her.

The immunity challenge is to climb a ladder to get a key, unlock a boat, paddle out and retrieve puzzle pieces, then build the puzzle on a wobbly table. Davie is excited to see fishing gear up for grabs too. Alec and Bi are the ones building the ladders, and Alec does it much faster. The Goliaths are able to get their pieces and come back before Bi finishes. Then the Davids' raft drifts away right as they're about to put their pieces in. The Goliaths use their huge lead to examine the puzzle. The Davids finally catch up, but Lyrsa struggles with it. Angelina has to tag out for Kara because of the heat. The Goliaths slowly and methodically get it done, sending David to tribal council.

"Do you wanna play with me?"
"What, in the sand?" |
Lyrsa thinks the Goliaths are unbeatable so Bi gives her a pep talk not to be afraid. Jessica thinks the vote to get out Lyrsa is locked, but Bi and Jessica blow off Gabby when she tries to talk with them, making her feel nervous. Elizabeth and Lyrsa suggest getting Jessica out as she's the lynchpin connecting Carl and Bi. Gabby is nervousing hard though, looking for reassurance from Christian. Nick and Christian realize that they are the deciding votes.
At tribal council, Elizabeth mentions the storm bringing them closer together. Lyrsa reveals she knows she's in danger. Jessica says you shouldn't wait until tribal council to play. Bi says her vote is pretty easy, and Nick says that trust alone isn't enough when making decisions.
The vote gives us some very shocked people, as Jessica leaves in a 5-4 blindside. The Davids are playing the game hard. But they're gonna need to convert that into challenge wins soon, because the Goliaths are threatening to run away with it.
STAR OF THE WEEK: ELIZABETH OLSON
Elizabeth managed to flip the vote to keep her closest ally in the game, giving herself a good spot in the numbers. She's well-liked and hasn't been a target yet, which I'm expecting to continue for a while.
