David Vs Goliath Episode 4: Better To Burn Out Than Fade Away

Still the Bi's knees
The episode begins with the tribes congregating and Gabby's shocked reaction to seeing Jeremy gone. But the shocks keep coming, as Bi announces she has decided to leave the game due to her injury. Damn, that was sudden...but as an athlete, she knows what her body needs. Another blow for the Davids, but fear not. we're swapping. There are now three tribes: orange (Natalia/Alec/Kara/Davie/Elizabeth), green (John/Dan/Alison/Christian/Gabby) and purple (Angelina/Natalie/Mike/Nick/Lyrsa)....lo and behold, the Davids are in the minority on every single one. Carl didn't get a buff, so he is sent to Exile. Christian compares the situation to gerrymandering.

Alec approves of his tribe's new camp, as Davie tries to make his first white friend. Kara and Elizabeth find they have a lot in common, both being heavily religious and liking horses, which worries Natalia. Natalia decides to be honest with Kara about this, but she reassures her she would never flip.

Grab 'em before they're gone
On Exile Island, Carl finds a note that tells him of a coconut containing an advantage floating in the water, and now he is in a race to get it before the tide. Diving right in, he sees many coconuts and decides to grab and toss as many as he can, with the waves knocking him over repeatedly. Eventually he spots the one with the blue stitching on it, and cracks it open to find an idol nullifier inside. Could be a useful tool under the right circumstances.

On Jabeni, Natalie feels comfortable in the numbers and is bossing people around, ordering Angelina how to make a fire. Nick loves it though as he sees it as a crack he can exploit. Nick starts talking to Mike about forming an alliance called the Rockstars. The third tribe, Tiva, sees Christian working hard to bond with Dan and John, learning how to chop wood and enquiring about Slamtown. Gabby sees this and now feels like she's the one on the outs for sure, even breaking down.
Christian now an honorary Goliath

Now Angelina is in the driver's seat
The immunity challenge is for blindfolded players to manouever a tribemate through an obstacle course on a unicycle. Then they have to help the other two blindfolded members complete a table maze. Angelina, Gabby and Kara are the ones being driven, with Kara's tribe slow to start. Then purple fall behind as Gabby and Kara both grab their ball bags first. Purple get there in the end after narrowly avoiding falling off. Gabby does a great job as the caller and gets Tiva the win. Boy did she need that! It's a close race between Jabeni and Vuku for second, but Jabeni get it.

Seeing their prospects looking grim, Davie and Elizabeth decide there's nothing left to do but look for the idol (though Davie already has it). Davie decides to throw Elizabeth under the bus and tell Natalia she was coming for her. Boo, coward move. Elizabeth tries to flip Alec by preaching moves. And he's considering it, because he doesn't like how bossy Natalia is. Davie is working him now too...that's more like it.

At tribal council, Elizabeth makes her case by saying she's loyal if you're with her. Davie throws Elizabeth under the bus again saying she'd be tough to beat at the end and has more friends on the other tribe. Natalia says she'd be happy to go out with a bang. Alec gets up and whispers in Elizabeth's ear, which makes Natalia very concerned and rightfully so. Kara tries to convince her nothing has changed, and they go into the vote.

Wannabe kingpin
So Natalia is voted out, and she is PISSED! She doesn't take it lying down either, willing to talk back to Alec and tell him to stop smiling. Wow, now that was an all-time great exit and a terrible move by Alec. Why would he willingly put himself in the minority when Carl is coming in? The bartender's incompetence has given the Davids the biggest ray of hope they've had in quite some time.

STAR OF THE WEEK: DAVIE RICKENBACKER
Davie looked to be in a really tough spot, but with a little help from Elizabeth, he stayed calm and worked his social game to be able to crack the majority and hold onto his idol. And just like that, now he's sitting pretty.
